Job Description

The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor position is a full-time, 5 day per week role that is part of the Leadership Team. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for mentoring and supervising therapists specializing in DBT. The Clinical Supervisor is expected to obtain expertise in DBT and leading clinicians to obtain National Certification in DBT. The Supervisor leads by example to ensure compliance with state and national certifications, HIPAA, and licensing boards. The Supervisor will also be the point person for maintaining the ethical standards within the clinic. The Supervisor must be able to discern and prioritize clinical issues and define strategies to solve them.

Mental Health Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities:
• Ensuring each client's’ chart has sufficient diagnoses and documentation to meet DBT standards for DHS, and proving medical necessity (DA, FA, Treatment Plans, Individual Progress Notes, Group Progress Notes, and necessary assessment tools to back up diagnosis)
• Conducting periodic chart reviews and audits for DBT team members
• Leading weekly 90-minute DBT consultation team meeting and ensure proper documentation
• Conduct a documented meeting 1 hour/monthly with each DBT team member to provide clinical consultation,
• Facilitate the National Certification process for every qualified clinician. Which includes providing training to ensure each team member is ready to test
• Be versed in DHS requirements for each document, and uphold standards for state-certification for DBT team
• Work closely with DBT team members to ensure the program requirements

Mental Health Clinical Supervisor Required Qualifications:
MA or MS Degree, Clinical Licensure of LPCC, LICSW, or LMFT
Board Certified Supervisor with at least 3 years of experience
• Prefer at least 5 years of DBT practice
• Level 1 and 2 EMDR Training a plus
• Ability to implement DBT principles into clinic culture
• Ability to obtain National DBT certification within one year of service
