Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Medical Laboratory Technician at Wright Patterson AFB in East of Dayton, OH

This contract position offers: 

  • Monday - Friday flexible schedule
  • Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (40 hours week)

Position Requirements:

  • Completion of High school with courses in general science, biology, psychology, and chemistry is mandatory
  • Graduate from a medical lab tech training program accredited by the NAACLS or the ABHES
  • Certification as a Medical Lab tech by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist or American Medical Technologist or state licensure as a medical lab tech
  • BLS
  • Current immunization record

Job Tasks: Location-Donor Center

Set up and break down of mobile drive equipment. Register Donors, Perform interviews with donors, perform bag issues, and process whole blood bags. Perform phlebotomy of Donors. Perform Component Processing which includes whole blood centrifugation, whole blood separation, processing lot information, and paperwork for lot release. Perform any other duties that pertain to the donor center directed by management.
