Currently recruiting an Certified Nursing Assistant who is also a Patient Care Technician in Ft Meade, MD to provide part-time / PRN CNA/PCT services in an occupational health environment at a federal agency at Fort Meade, MD. When not providing CNA/PCT direct patient care, the position requires working in occupational health medical records section. Proportion of CNA duties vs medical records duties varies depending upon patient needs. Estimate 30% patient care - 70% medical records workload . Possible local travel and some nights and weekends may be needed. Full-time schedule may vary. The successful CNA must possess a Maryland state certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT/A). Part-time / PRN CNAs will receive the cash equivalent of 10 days of vacation and 10 paid federal holidays, prorated based on hours actually worked. Position earns 1 hour paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked. Hours between 7:00AM - 6:30PM. DUTIES OF THE PART-TIME/PRN CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT INCLUDE: Assist Individual with Disabilities (IWD) civilian employees who require assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) while at work. Take and record vital signs Ensure patients are not exposed to unnecessary risks by maintaining a safe and secure workplace. Assist in the front desk duties at the Occupational Health, Environment and Safety Services clinic (medical records section). Normal schedule will be between 7:00AM - 6:30PM Mon - Fri, but other hours and weekends are possible. Local travel to other facilities may be required. QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT: 12 months of experience as a CNA with Patient Care Technician certification (PCT/A) Current BLS/CPR and First Aid Posses own reliable transportation (private vehicle) and possess a valid/current driver's license. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and health records management. Eligible to receive a security clearance (Must be a U.S. citizen for access to Gov't computer systems) Polygraph test may be required Have or able to obtain a US Passport within 90 days of start date COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Competitive pay Paid cash equivalent of 10 days paid vacation and 10 paid Federal holidays per year, prorated on actual hours worked.
